Ace is crying - What weapons to add?

Put your weapon ideas here - everything from grenades to sniper riffles to some sort of obscure anal probe.

I'll list them in this post to maintain a very naic overview.

Weapons list;

Electronically propelled Sniper rifle (For capitalist faction?)

- Very Accurate
- Super-Deadly
- Super Clumsy - reload takes forever (perhaps need to reload batteries AND bullets in bolt action way?)
- HUGE cool down before being able to fire again (perhaps make a shit load of smoke come out after a shot?)
- On artistic design: coils, really fat around the barrel itself, long barrel, kind of like .50 cal sniper riffles? ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrett_M82 )



Mah ideas:

Improvised Laser Rifle (For socailist faction)

- A laser which is used to shape stuff in the socialist space ship, modified to be portable and with all of the safeties turned off.
- Laser - instahit, constant fire.
- Effective against bare flesh, ineffective vs shields/armour
- Relatively slow reload - improvised place for batteries
- Artistically, this would have a color scheme similar to an ak-47 (with a "warning, high powered cuts" sign somewhere from old machine), with some parts sticking out there and there, size and shape very abstractly that of an assault riffle

I will definately use some elements of that dune gun and the death ray, they give the weapons a sort of archaic feel to them like the coil on my M1.

pickleweasel just had a weapon idea i really liked; he calls it the "corner gun" (for the capitalistic faction)

I imagine it as a sort of beam weapon, with coils everywhere on the gun, which can shoot short bursts of beams before overheating. The main point of the gun is that it's bendable - you can basically go to a corner, "bend" the gun around the corner, look down the special screen which would show you the action around the corner - the beam would travel down the point of the gun via a complex system of magnets- and then you fire away from cover towards the enemies without them being able to shoot at you.

The disadvantage is that you're stationary for when you do this, and that it isn't exactly the most powerful gun (it has to be able to bend the beam quick enough along the barrel).
