OH! Hi there.
1st post on the new forum.
Before I committ to this, can you direct me to what tools I'll need to use? I'll take a look at them. Your animation list in the 4th sticky looks like a good list of starting animations. I'm guessing you'll also need 'melee attack with weapons' type attack as well?

Try that thread, otherwise ask Alpha0mega what he thinks is best to animate with as he's the model/animating leader at the moment.

Well, from what I've seen I think SoftImage's animating tools work the best.
But maybe im just gay and don't know how to master maya's rigging / animating system ;o because there's a template biped skeleton included with maya that works miracles. (Which has *some* constraints, but I think it can be used for the game) :o
But technically you can use any tool you want as long as it can export to COLLADA.
